Not too long ago, The God Busta Rhymes made the killer jam “New York S***t!” featuring none other than the infamous Ruff Ryder’s Swizz Beatz, now there is a remix produced by Chill Treez and Jack B.
This track has not only brought New York rap back in season, this song has helped to create that spark to bring Hip Hop culture back to the forefront where it should be instead of the culture-less rap that is being played and has been played on the radio for the past few years. The energy of “New York S***t” definitely gets listeners and fans amped and out of their seat. If you are not from New York City, the song has the power to allow listeners to imagine that they are in the city; throwing it up for the Empire State.
It is time to revisit this legendary classic, released in 2006 with a phenomenal remix, powered by two skilled and extremely talented producers Chill Treez and Jack B who individually have worked with the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Deborah Cox, Bilal, G-Unit, Ill Bill, David Banner, The Artifacts, Kool and the Gang, M.O.P., Naughty By Nature, Wyclef Jean, Ol Dirty Bastard, Hussien FataI (of The Outlawz), Jim Jones and Busta Rhymes just to name a few.
As a Hip Hop fan and Journalist, I can appreciate Chill Treez and Jack B releasing a remix to “New York S***t.” The best way to describe this remix is by reiterating the dopeness of Hip Hop’s golden years with an updated flavor that will still have you rocking out like we used to. Redman calls this type of sound “90 Now.”
