SACRAMENTO, CA — When last we left our hip-hop revolutionaries BaeGod & SBvCE, we have been fresh off their teaser, “The Data” — which has turned out to be the tone-setter, as you can expect by the creativity in their cover.
This is def one of their bigger statement draws but more on that later as you can tell I’m going to breakdown how I am relating and vibin’ on the duos most recent album, Couples Therapy; laying it out for us if your paying attention. Let’s get into it.
First off: The cover paints a dope picture outlining in scavenger hunt, ‘made-ya-look’-style of objects, which is representative of each track title and the entire album as a whole. Even down to the 90’s-style diamond cover throw-back we all loved from a simpler time.
Second off, the album has great storytelling. Each drop summarizes the state of affairs socially, locally and globally through an amalgamation of events that culminates each song in Couples Therapy with the appearance of an amazing hand-picked roster of artists that include Tash, Harris Rudman, The Grouch and Nash Boogie that sets this body of work with their respective styles.
In closing, the album is #dopeaf. Stream Couples Therapy on popular digital platforms if you wanna hear how our revolutionary duo escapes this madness in their adventure in music and life. It wraps up well, just not the idea of where we can relate to escapes and switching off — especially now 14 songs in the bag; but I guess a little ‘vacay’
