“UP“ serves as the hard-hitting lead single from Oakland Hip Hop legend D Labrie’s upcoming album Mr NETW3RK Part 2. Filmed entirely on location in Tokyo during his Asia Tour, the visual is Part 1 of an ambitious three-part audio and visual trilogy set to be followed by the Korea-filmed installments “BE MYSELF“ and “BABY LUV.”
Directed and edited by artist and filmmaker OneTwenty of Lokyo Multimedia Japan alongside co-editors RonDavoux Records, the video captures D Labrie gliding through the crowded Tokyo nightlife. The catchy “put ya hands up” hook vibrates through the speakers while D Labrie effortlessly rhymes over smooth core production handled by Sean Blak of The Beat Dealaz. The track is further elevated by intro music from InfiNate and outro music from LexZyne Productions.
