Opus Open Mic is more than an open mic night, it is an immersive art experience. Coordinated and hosted by author Chloe Williams, #OOM is a monthly event rooted in storytelling and community building.
“Everything has a story at Opus Open Mic – from the art on the gallery walls, down to the custom Opus herbal blend at our complimentary tea bar, every little detail tells its own story. Because that’s the whole point of it all, we are all living and telling our personal stories in the way we best express ourselves.”
This experience isn’t just for poets, it’s for artists and storytellers of all kinds. In addition to open mic entertainment, Opus Open Mic also offers complimentary refreshments to enjoy during the show. Every month the Joyce Gordon Gallery, where the open mic lives, highlights a new visual artist, and every month #OOM highlights a performing artist as their feature performance.
Sunday, February 12th #OOM is excited to celebrate the musical talent of Camilla Covington of Sacramento, CA. Camilla Covington explores growing up through an honest, romantic lens. With dreamy vocalizations laid over impressive musical arrangements, it is easy to lose yourself in Covington’s storytelling.

Covington divulges intimate and endearing details of her coming of age from the whirlwind of her experimentation of party drugs, stomaching the sting of envy and what it feels like to fall in love. The visuals supporting her musical talent are equally impressive, she will sweep you off your feet as she rolls by, serenading your screen with personal anecdotes that will set your heart ablaze.
Despite her music feeling like a daydream to listen to, Covington’s work is down-to-earth and relatable. Listening to her album “Love Letters & Prophecies,” at many points felt like listening to tea from your best friend and hearing her gush about the thrill of young love and self-discovery.

Get your tickets to see Camilla Covington at Opus Open Mic while you can. Doors and open mic list open at 7 PM, tickets are available now on EventBrite.Visit #OOM on the web at www.opusopenmic.com and follow coordinator and host Chloe Williams on TikTok@OOM SERIES.
