It isn’t a matter of heartbreak for German-based singer-songwriter KELS whose ‘move on’ requiem “Just Let Me Go,” is all about getting back to yourself and not relying on someone to make you or break you. KELS neo-soul-styled lyrics seemingly plead with a man whose belief in their relationship staying together is the meaning of life and she just wants to be let go already.
“Baby you know exactly how
To grind my gears and start my tears
And fill my ears with shit I don’t need to hear
Let’s just let go
Of all the stupid plans and flat romance and lack of understanding”
She started singing as a child and putting her words to tune on her keyboard by 13-years-old – now KELS is all grown up and her music career is being shaped by the sounds she creates. Much of KELS music is about love.
