February 25 was going to be a great night.  There was a whole group of us walking across town to Harlows to see Kool Kieth perform at Harlows on J St.  More friends joined us once we got in.  The place filled up quite fast and it seemed as if the show was going to be one of the best for the year thus far but by the end, I wish we had gotten tickets to see Lyrics Born, the following weekend.  Here is what hip-hop heads said about the Kool Kieth show..

More Fun Socializing & Freestyling?

“The show was one of the best Sac has held.  Keith’s energy was amazing.  After doing it for so many years, you would think he’d be bored but he is definately still the man.  His presence on the stage, crowd control and the set with Cut Master Kurt were on point!  The show was well worth it.  Thanks Kieth” — DJ Julez, Sacramento, CA

“Kool Keithg is dope, the show wasn’t but I don’t regret a thing” — Music Engineer and Producer, Styles2001, Sacramento, CA

“I loved it, it was good for Sac to have a rap legend spittin’ game.  Tell da haters to stop hatin’ and enjoy what we got” — HEADLESS HORSEMAN, Sacramento, CA

“We got felt up” — Johnny “Hiero” Moralez, Tattoo Artist, Sacramento, CA

“It was bad ass” — Dark Sage of From Parts Unknown, Sacramento, CA

“I freestyled for 15-dollars and it was tight.  The beats were cool” — Kris Gupton, Owner of The Shiny Nickel Art Gallery, Sacramento, CA

“I thought the show was alright.  I have been to better shows at smaller gigs, smaller artists” Joe, local independent graphic designer and promoter, Sacramento, CA.
