If you look back into each hit song and what the artist or artists did before they composed it, you may begin to really realize that a hit is like a community. There needs to be support and encouragement which comes from those closest to him or her when the songwriter is in a band and has people giving feedback to what they are hearing. In my case there was my final touches to making the cake with my high school putting the icing on the cake. It is not uncommon that someone writing alone has a hit and would not even know it is a hit – just like when an artist that is a painter and is living alone – then the painter dies – and only then…., do people get to see what he has been doing all those years in his private loft or room – as they rummage through all his paintings. That is when after the discovery under a mountain of paintings something different and unique shows up, then the artist is finally recognized. Same sometimes for a hit.
