‘HILLTRIBE’: A Cultural Anthem

“HillTribe” is a hip-hop single, featuring three Sirena, Ninaco and Viciou$wagger that is a celebration of their Hmong and Mien heritage.

Previously, the beautiful songstress Sirena released the single, “M.I.E.N.” that also delves into her lu-Mien American identity. In “HillTribe,” you will hear some references from “M.I.E.N.” Although the three have not officially signed to InRage Entertainment together as a group, where Sirena is an official artist at, these three ladies’ first single together at InRage, whose business is based out of Los Angeles, CA will make you want to hear more of them.

This single will get you bouncing, it is entertaining and also shares a message of culture and identity that means a lot to these ladies. Sirena’s beautiful voice, reminiscent of Beyonce and styled like old school R&B ‘90s groups like 702 or SWV, starts off the song as she walks in her sequenced dress and high heel shoes, singing the hook and moving into sultry rap-rhyme lyrics.

Next up is Ninaco AKA Nina whose original Hip Hop style goes from flowy bars into a dynamic double time tempo. Her tenacity for the switch up creates lyrical dexterity in her wordplay and breath control. Although we have not heard anyone else with this type of cadence in their bars, other female rappers have done similar types of rap-style, including The Lady of Rage, Remy Ma or Rah Digga.

Viciou$wagger takes the stage like a tsunami, blowin’ in like an aggressive hurricane speaking her own mind with her trap-style of rapping. Similarly, Viciou$wagger’s ‘swagger,’ no pun intended runs along the lines of other Hip Hop females such as Latto or Megan Thee Stallion (without all the sex talk). Viciou$wagger evokes loyalty and passion for her girls and for Hip Hop in this track and is the stand out artist that makes this song go hard.

“HillTribe” was written by Sirena, Ninaco, Viciou$wagger and The Vanderveers (InRage ENT). The song, directed by Shot By CC featured Nikki Lee, Soal and others in the video shoot representing and dancing.
