Legend Has It to Host “Hometown Heroes” Listening Party ⏺️

Legend Has It, a Hi-Fi listening lounge in Downtown Sacramento, is hosting a listening party on Sunday, September 21, for producer Andrew Lozano’s new album, “Hometown Heroes.” The event kicks off at 8:30 PM and runs until midnight, with doors opening at 8:00 PM.

A New Album for Sacramento’s Hip Hop Scene

Andrew Lozano, known in the music world as Freqy Music Group, began his career at just 11 years old. Since then, he has become a prominent producer and engineer in Sacramento’s music scene, working with artists like Billy Lane and Roving Jewel, as well as labels like Om Records. His latest album, “Hometown Heroes,” is a testament to his dedication to the city’s rich hip-hop history.

“The record brings together authentic lyricism, soulful beats and community-driven storytelling that resonates with both hip-hop fans and vinyl collectors,” Lozano explained.

“Hometown Heroes” features an impressive lineup of Sacramento-based hip-hop artists, including:

Live Manikins: Mr. Lingo, S3LF and SkratchMiyagi (DJ Rated R; also of the Sleeprockers DJ crew)
The People’s Revolution (TPR): Old Ghost and VNDL SVG (Mic Jordan)
The CUF (California Underground Funk): Crush Cuf
Other notable local artists: 2Ugli, Nytelife, DJ El Conductor, and Melkez

A Unique Listening Experience

The listening party will be held at Legend Has It, located at 410 L St, Sacramento, CA 95814. Inspired by Japanese listening bars, the 21-and-over venue offers a high-end audio experience with its extensive vinyl collection and top-tier sound equipment. In addition to the album’s exclusive first listen, attendees can enjoy craft beer, wine and a taco food truck. The album will also be available for purchase at the event on a limited-run, eco-colored vinyl for $30. Each record in this first pressing is visually unique, with stunning shades of marble, purple, ruby red, and maroon. The vinyl will also be sold on Bandcamp and at local record stores like Twelves Wax.
